Garritan personal orchestra 5 sibelius sound set
If you want to use the new 'Orchestral Strings' portion of GPO5, or any other instruments that are new to GPO5, for the time being just set up an instance of ARIA in 'manual sound set' mode. To get the soundset up to date, I'm speculating that it'll mostly be a matter of simply adding the "Orchestral Strings" category of instruments, the new Pianos and Harps, the new SAM brass stuff, and perhaps taking out some things left over from GPO4 that aren't properly implemented in GPO5 (the sfz files and samples are there for things like the old GPO4 pianos and a few others.but for some reason they don't show up in the main GPO5 instrument lists). If not, it shouldn't take much tweaking to 'make it so'. While I've not tried 'uninstalling' my old GPO5 library to test this theory, I'm pretty sure GPO5 is going to be fairly backwards compatible to the old GPO4 soundset. Thanks-and hope this helps in getting the soundset you need:)įor the most part it's the same as GPO4. I had posted below that AVID Customer Service on May 6 had said they were working on it: I only know her name, but have seen here on the AVID forums many times. Web: Back to top | AllĪs there seems to be problems with getting timely answers, and email communications, etc here from AVID perhaps an email to Marianne Montague, Director of Online Communities and Forums/Customer Advocate might help concerning this, and other 81 Shame, as I'd happily pay a reasonable amount for one. The reply was non-committal at first and negative a short while later when I pressed him on it prior to publication of the review. However, when Garritan World Instruments was released, I reviewed it and asked Daniel if a soundset was on the way. I think we've discussed this before and the bottom line is this.ġ) The guys at Sibelius have a lot to do with their work on the programme itself, rather than spending a lot of time supporting a product made by their main rivals, Make Music.Ģ) The guys at Make Music aren't interested in supporting the prime product from their main rivals, Avid.ģ) If there is anyone out there who is willing to spend the time to create a full, working soundset for GPO5, they'll want to be sure that a) they can sell enough copies at a reasonable cost to recoup their time and effort and make a little for themselves and b) that they can sell these copies before someone starts pirating it.
